Frequently Asked Questions

Lymphatic Drainage is a gentle, therapeutic technique designed to support the body’s lymphatic system, a key system responsible for detoxification, immune support, and fluid balance. By encouraging the natural movement of lymph, this therapy can help reduce inflammation, support healing, ease congestion, and promote overall balance in the body. At Cohesive Therapy, lymphatic drainage is often integrated with other modalities to support the body as a whole. Each session is customized to your needs and stage of healing. For a deeper understanding of lymphatic drainage and its benefits, we invite you to explore our Blog for more detailed information.

Scheduling is easy, and we’re here to help guide you. We recommend calling our main office to book your appointment. If we’re unavailable in-office, our 24/7 call center is always available to assist you. If this is your first visit — welcome! You will be scheduled for an Initial Lymphatic Drainage Visit. We also offer online booking for your convenience. Simply click the “Book Now” tab to view available services and appointment times.

We kindly require 24 hours’ notice for any appointment cancellation or rescheduling. Appointments cancelled or rescheduled within 24 hours will be charged the full appointment amount. If you are currently on a Journey or have a package, the scheduled session will be forfeited. As a small business, each appointment is time intentionally reserved for you. Last-minute cancellations mean our therapist is unable to fill that space, and we often have an extensive waitlist. We truly appreciate your understanding and respect for our team’s time and care.

We recommend wearing comfortable, loose-fitting clothing. Please avoid wearing jewelry, using lotions, or using perfume/scented products. If you're post-surgery, bring any compression garments your surgeon has prescribed. Depending on your treatment plan, garments may be removed or worn during portions of your session.

Timing varies based on the type of procedure and your surgeon’s recommendations. Many clients begin lymphatic drainage within the first few days to two weeks post-surgery, once cleared by their medical provider. We always encourage you to follow your surgeon’s guidance. Your session will be modified to support your current stage of healing safely and gently.

Healing is a process, and consistency is key. Some clients benefit from multiple sessions per week initially, then gradually taper as swelling and inflammation decrease. This is why we often recommend a Journey, which provides structure, continuity, and support throughout your recovery.
